Thrilled to share that I am joining the 2026 BUMP Festival in Calgary as part of the Guests Curators of the Mural Program, alongside Marigold Santos and sculptor Ken Lum.

A genuine thank you to the entire BUMP team for the trust and for the quality of attention they bring to this kind of work.
Ken Lum wil be curating the Public Sculpture Program while Marigold and me will be working on develop the central theme that will guide this year’s festival artists and Urban Art Conference.
It is a real honour to be working alongside Marigold. Her practice builds personal mythologies from Filipino folklore, diasporic experience, and the figure of the hybrid creature navigating in-between worlds. That layered relationship to territory, memory, and belonging connects directly with questions I bring to my own work. Worth noting: Marigold is also participating in the main exhibition of the 61st Venice Biennale, “In Minor Keys,” alongside Rajni Perera.

We are already in conversation, shaping the thematic direction that will guide this year’s mural program. We are reviewing proposals and the response has been strong. Seeing so many artists thinking seriously about public space, language, and identity in their work is genuinely encouraging.
More to come as the summer approaches.
